Yes, I believe in angels

We can see in the Bible that the angels have a central function in the work of God throughout the history. We can say it like this; that one of their tasks is to protect the salvationplan of God. They are involved to make Gods plans to come through in real life.

God is the lord of hosts: It means he has an army of angels to his disposition which obey his commandments.

-This is the God I pray to-

Let us read in Genesis 2.1: Thus heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts.
-and then Genesis 3.24: So he drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden he stationed the cherubim, and the flaming sword which turned every direction, to guard trhe way to the three of life.

Something terrible had happened. The man chose the sin and was coming under judgment. God had told him: The day you eat of that tree you shall die the death.

Then to protect the sinful man from eating of the tree of life He drove man out of the garden and He stationed a cherub by the entrance with a flaming sword which turned every direction.

Why did he put this angel there? Didn't he love the human beings anymore?

God is love and He really felt compassion, but for the man to eat of the tree of life he needed to be reconciled first. God saw that.-He used the angel to guard the universe from having individuals that was eternal and sinful, both in one. If so, he could never be finished with sin once for all.

To really be totally finished with sin and death is a part of Gods salvation plan : And we look forward to that with joy!

Thank God for his precious salvation plan. He started to work out that one as soon as man did wrong.

God felt compassion for Adam and Eve. And he said to the serpent so man could hear it: One day the seed of the woman will crush your head. God himself was announcing…prophesying…about His son that He one time should be born to finish the enmity.

Angels were present when God promised to give Abraham a son through Sarah.

Angels were showing up for Jacob in a dream and they went up and they went down on a ladder between heaven and earth. And the Lord confirmed for Him that it was through Him that all the people groups of the earth should be blessed. It means: It was through Him the promise to Abraham should be fulfilled.

We shall move forward in the history in the bible to read more about angels. These are some examples:

Judges 6.11: An angel is encouraging Gideon  for the task God is calling him to do..

Isaiah 6.1-8: Isaiah is looking into heaven, seeing the glory of God and the seraphs who are around the throne of God. One of the seraphs is even coming to Him with burning coal from the alter and giving Him a message about atonement.

Luke 1.11-20: Gabriel is visiting Sakarja, telling him that they will get a son who will be a forrunner for Messiah.

Luke 1.26-33: Gabriel kommer til Maria, telling her that through her the great saviour shall be born..

Luke 2.8-14: An angel is coming to the shepherds in the fields of Bethlehem and an army of angels is accompanying Him with praise.

About the New Jerusalem:
Revelation 21.22-27 and 22.1-2
Because of the reconciliation of Christ through His blood, we all now can eat of the tree of life and drink of the living water. The cherub guarded the tree of life for the sinful man not to eat of it. But because of His blood that cleanses from all sin the way is open. Heaven is open. And we can freely eat of the tree of life.
Revelation 22.14

Matthew 24 29-31.
Angels will be very active in the collecting of the elected ones from all corners of the earth - a very important event in our way to the great final........ when we will switch from time to eternity with Him.
